I think the lack of focuss – blending all the lights into one – makes this an even better shot than it would be focused (intented or not I don’t know) and it has a really simple, old-fashioned photography feel to it too.
Tthe artsy effect (-: Try this… Point you camera at a group of flowers making sure they fill your frame. If you can make your shutter speed slower do so. Just when you press the shutter button move your camara if a quick, tight circle. It may take a few practices, but it can produce a pretty cool effect.
Some subjects are just as beautiful unfocused as focused!
